Hand Woven Scarf in 100% Pure British Wool in Jacob Grey and Cream Wool
Hand woven scarf in 100% pure Jacob wool in natural tones worn by men or women.
The Jacob sheep have large spots in their fleece from brown to grey and cream. After the sheep are clipped, the different tones are gathered together and then spun separately to create a beautiful soft natural range of tones to weave with.
They are woven with a traditional weave - a 2/2 twill. This is used for tweed from Lewis and Harris in the Outer Hebrides as it is pliable and warm.
I visited the islands many times and had the privilege of spending time with the traditional Harris tweed weavers.
