Cream Shawl Fine Random Stripe
My felted wool shawls are very warm without being heavy, woven in undyed wool from the fleeces of Jacob sheep. I slightly felt them so the weave structure can still be seen. I use a 2/2 twill weave which is the same weave they use in the Outer Hebrides in Harris and Lewes for tweed, it has a generous structure with 2 threads going over and under 2 threads, this creates an open weave and so traps the air.
2.00 in length | 48 cm wide
4 cm fringe approx. The fringe has a natural wildness about it that almost takes it back to the sheep fleece before it has been spun.
